NC110- Week 1

I am very excited about this class, and while I feel I have a good grasp on health and nutrition, I know there is always much more to learn! It is rare you'll find anything in my kitchen that is not organic, and my pantry is some what bare as we try to consume as little organic "junk foods" (processed) as possible. This is my morning staple! I LOVE green smoothies!

I try to mix up my selection of fruits and veggies every couple of days. This one had kale, strawberries, pineapple and cherries w/ local bee pollen, chia seeds, maca and spirulina powders.

My kiddos are great helpers and they love their green smoothies too!

In my house we have a wide range of food preferences. I eat a produce dominant diet with fish and other meats a couple times a week. My older son eats similar to the way I do, and my husband and youngest son eat the exact opposite! They have to have their meat! Meal times are always an adventure.
I am excited to learn more new ways to continue optimizing our health, and making the wisest food choices. I am also excited that our textbook includes lots of cooking tips!
